Shirley’s Story

A dear friend, Susan, has been diagnosed with Myeloma cancer and is bravely undergoing treatment. In her honor, I have decided to take on a personal challenge: to read aloud the entire book of Psalms, from 1 to 150. This event, titled “Read the Psalms for Recovery,” will take place on Friday, 28 November 2025, at Down Cathedral starting at 9:30 AM.

I invite you to join me in this meaningful endeavour. You can either come by to listen or watch the live stream. If you feel inspired, I would love for you to share in this experience with me; feel free to take a turn reading alongside me!

My goal is to raise £1,000 for Myeloma UK, a charity dedicated to advancing research into new treatments and providing vital support for those affected by this illness. Your contributions will make a significant difference in the lives of many who are facing similar challenges.

Thanks to Dean Henry and staff at Down Cathedral for allowing me to read in inspiring surroundings.
